Shoes are something that women are known for having an affinity for, and it is also not unheard of, for us to be willing to go through a certain amount of pain, for beauties sake. But even then, there are some shoes that are just so painful, not matter how cute they are, that they really just shouldn't be worn. Perhaps what is worse, is some of the most painful shoes, ever, are not even really that cute. They look just as painful as they have got to be. #1: Asian Doll

I think these shoes are just plain evil, I mean look at that poor woman's foot! These have got to take the prize as the worst and most painful shoes to ever be in existence. In many cultures, a small foot is considered to be an ultimate symbol of beauty, but no level of beauty is worth that! I mean, look at the ladies foot!

#2: Cardboard Shoes

For the eco-conscious fashionista who weighs less than 10 pounds, have we got the shoe for you! But in all seriousness, I understand the need for an increased level of environmental consciousness, but this seems to be taking it too far. For one, how does they hold even a tiny person up? And for two, what are you supposed to do if you get caught in a rain storm?

#3: Off the Ankle

Ow. If you wear these painful shoes, make sure that you have a broom handy to clear your path free of any debris as you walk around. A take on the off the shoulder style of shirt, these shoes are heels, with some fabric around the ankle, and that is it. The entire top portion of your foot is exposed.

#4: Roman Stilettos

Now certainly these are for circus acts not actual wear, right? I mean these are stilts that have been decked out with ribbons. I don't see how anyone could manage more than a couple of steps in these shoes. And if Roman men wanted their women to wear shoes like this, no wonder the empire fell!

#5: Bondage Shoes

What says I love you more than the key to a pair of all metal bondage shoes? While bondage is, um, accepted in many areas of society, this is a way of putting it a bit more in your face. That is, if you can manage to get into public still wearing them.

#6: Meccano

Finally! Someone realized that exactly what I've always wanted is a pair of steel heels with over five inch heels with a ridiculously high arch. While I am vertically challenged and do admit that this would add a bit to my stature, I'm not sure that I could hold out long enough for it to be worthwhile.

#7: Ballet Heels

I guess these would make the perfect shoes for the sexy ballerina in her off time? I mean, they've got the whole standing on the toes thing down to a T, and I cannot imagine who else could possibly manage these (or want to) shoes.

#8: LEGO Heels

LEGOs are super cool, let's just set the record straight from the get-go, however, they are designed to be played with, not worn. C'mon people! I have to admit, there is something quirky and cute about these heels, but they are made out of the same material as a LEGO. That is some pretty hard and unforgiving plastic. Even if one could manage through the pain, wouldn't they break?

#9: Red Platforms On Steroids

Yowza! For the go-go girl in you, who isn't afraid to literally risk life and limb, these are the perfect shoes to go with your next retro night out. Just pray that you do not have to take any stairs, or, really, move at all, if possible.

#10: Artistic Heels

I'll agree that shoes can be works of art, designed with care and attention to detail. And so with that logic in mind, perhaps some shoes should be relegated to the field of art, like these. They are a bit on the strange side and the shoes are quite bulky and heavy, I cannot imagine these are easy to move in.
